The event focused on the digitalisation of society through the power of the internet – a network that was established to connect computers via protocols where minimal consideration was placed on security.  With the internet connecting networks rather than people, anonymity is prevalent across the 3.2bn internet users.  The UK, EU and NATO have all seriously begun to consider the cyber threat and how they can be managed.  The event asked what priorities governments and organisations should focus on which addressed technical and non-technical aspects.
