The Vision

To create a new industry benchmark of complimentary facilities, products and services that are recognised for their exceptional quality.

The Outcomes

Following its redevelopment in 2015, the marina fully opened in its new configuration accommodating 158 yachts up to 190 metres and including two newly built state-of-the-art buildings.

In 2016 it was chosen as the host marina for the MYBA, the largest charter show in the Mediterranean.

The site catalysed the Barcelona Nautical Cluster to reactivate the city’s marine sector and generate significant economic impact.

OneOcean Port Vell (now Marina Port Vell) continues to build its reputation as a world-class superyacht destination and in 2016 it was chosen as the host marina for the largest charter show in the Mediterranean, MYBA, for 2017-2020. In 2017, after successfully delivering the vision, the Group completed a full sale of the asset.

Having acquired the site in 2010, between 2013-2017 we managed its transformation to deliver One Ocean Port Vell.

Salamanca Group spent over two years planning and in negotiations with APB/Barcelona city council, securing approvals in 2012, with plans announced at the Monaco Yacht Show.

In addition to our work at OneOcean Port Vell, we helped initiate the Barcelona Nautical Cluster to reactivate the city’s marine sector and generate significant economic impact.
