The challenge, from Barbados to the Canaries, will be undertaken by two able-bodied and four seriously injured service personnel to demonstrate what is possible beyond injury.

Tables for the dinner were taken by a variety of companies including Barclays, Land Rover, PWC (R2R Supporter) and BP (R2R Sponsor) and over £100,000 was raised for the associated charities: Help for Heroes, ABF The Soldiers’ Charity and SSAFA Forces Help. Over 300 guests attended the event, hosted by Dan Snow, and guest speakers included Geoff Miller and Baroness Tanni Grey-Thomson, with Hugh Edmeades of Christies heading the auction. Salamanca Group donated three auction lots and took four tables of invited guests; an enjoyable evening was had by all.
