Salamanca Group is pleased to announce the appointment of David Oakhill as Director of Planning and Economic Development. With an extensive background in public sector urban planning and economic development between the UK and New Zealand, Dave brings a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective to our team.
Dave will oversee the strategic planning and economic initiatives that progress the Group’s portfolio of large-scale, transformative real estate projects, as well as projects that the group advises on. He will work closely with both public and private sector partners to develop long-term plans that deliver social value for the communities in which our projects have the greatest impact.

Before joining Salamanca Group, Dave Oakhill held the position of Head of Place at Gloucester City Council where he oversaw significant regenerative developments including the Kings Quarter regeneration programme – a £200m public, private and education sector scheme creating over 1,000 new jobs and bringing 4,500 university students into the heart of Gloucester City Centre. He has a strong reputation for planning, development management, economic development and regeneration, heritage and major capital works delivery.
